Today and Forevermore

I woke up before the sun,
Cause I heard a noise;
Looked round the house, by candlelight
There in the living room, I spied
Two angels in the reflected light
Sent there to protect, both you and me
They spread their arms above us
And show us the protection of the Lord
A calm descends among us
Taking away all of our pain
Angels are among us, as is our Lord
Jesus Christ today, and forevermore
